What we’re growing in the garden…

Our generous backyard produces generous quantities of salad mix and fast growing annual crops when I plant them.

We also have a healthy collection of fruit trees ranging from lemon trees, lime, oranges avocado, feijoa, lychee, fig and fingerlimes cared for by Ben.

Currently annual crops are doing well. From fast growing loose leaf and hearting lettuces, rocket and basil will hang around for the summer if you keep pinching out the flowering tips. Perrenial sage, slow growing leek and fennel are favourites. Zucchini and cucumber need a lot of space to roam, as doe as healthy pumpkin vine. The Illawarra climate is generous in providing ideal conditions for growing a wide selection of home grown produce.
