Fruit tree pruning workshop
Join Ben - self confessed fruit bat for a morning of how to get the best from your fruit trees.
Saturday 12 July 9am - 2 pm
Pruning fruit trees can be fun and satisfying… with a bit of help knowing what tools to use, which branches to cut, when to cut, how to shape trees and a few other tips & tricks, you’ll be pruning like a pro and feasting for years to come.
Come join Ben, self confessed fruit bat and carer for over 50 fruit trees at Pope’s HQ, as we tackle the techniques for pruning figs, apricots, nectarines, bananas, grapes, mulberries, citrus & more.
This is a hands-on workshop with a combination of theory & practice and numbers will be limited to 7 people. Morning tea is provided.
What to bring: Good vibes, notebook, camera/phone, work clothes, hat, gloves & safety glasses, sturdy shoes. If you also have secateurs &/or loppers & would like to bring them, there will be a section on tool maintenance.
Cost: We are experimenting with a pay-as-you-can model. There is a $20 deposit to secure your place, so bring some extra cash on the day and contribute towards the ongoing function of Popes Produce.
